Security Logs in Serena Business Manager

0
Hello

Can anyone tell me where the security logs are in serena business manager. I was checking through the documentation and have not been able to find the location. My goal is to send the SBM security logs somewhere to be stored.

Not sure what security logs you are referring to, but there are log files stored in "Program Files\Serena\SBM\Common\Tomcat 7.0\server\default\logs" that have various server, notification logs, etc

Thank you for the response. We are using serena BMS 11. The application is pki enabled.

I was looking for application specific logs like who is logging in when and things like that.

There is a 'Current User Activity' system report that shows who is currently logged in and how long they have been logged in for. There is also some logging in License Manager that will show when licenses were checked out/in. The Windows Event Viewer (Security) also shows when users accessed from memory.

    Thanks for the reply

Where do I find the "Current User Activity" system report. Are those logs written to the operating system. Is that an option. My goal is to ship the user/security logs to a separate location for storage.

The Current ?user Activity report is in SBM. Go to the Reports > Browse System Reports and you will find it there.

The Windows Event Viewer are OS event logs and they can be copied to another server for storage/protection

    Thank you for the reply!

I see where you are talking about. I can run the "Current User Activity" system report and I get the user logon information.

Is there anyway to tell SBM to push this information(as well as some other info) to the operating system. Or to force the information into the Windows Event Viewer like you said?

Do you know what tables in the database are used to pull tis data?
