Other than using the application administrator, how can get new records into an auxiliary table?

    Jeff,

You can also use the Web Admin and mass import to an aux table via a spreadsheet.

If you have a relational field on a transition form that points to your aux table you should see an icon next to it on the form that will allow you to submit an item.

In the classic view when you click Search there is a Manage Data link that will take you to the web admin page too.

You can use web services to create aux items as well.

    Hopefully that helps.

Regarding your comment "If you have a relational field on a transition form that points to your aux table you should see an icon next to it on the form that will allow you to submit an item.":

Is there an example app that I can download from the Build page that demonstrates this transition form capability?

    Jeff,

See if this image helps. This is a Relational field that points to my Aux Table. As long as you have Submit permission to the Aux Table you should see this icon when the drop down value is "None" and when you click it it should bring up the submit form for the Aux table.
